We have two new educational technology workshops this March, come and join us!

Open Educational Resources – Join Julie Lang, OER Coordinator, Brad Antill and Wade Shumaker, Instructional Production Specialists on March 21st  beginning at 8:30 AM in SLC 29 with some coffee and donuts.

At 9AM they will present on their latest projects and initiatives with OER at PSU including:

  • The Affordable Course Transformation
    • Pressbooks and how you can utilize it with your students
    • Joan Smeltzer from PSU York will join us via Zoom at 9:30 AM to discuss her Math Project for ACT@PSU
  • Content Camp/Access to Open Quiz Questions
    • Subjects include
      • Macro/Micro Econ, General Chemistry, Medical Biology, General Psychology, Spanish I, and Business Management.
  • Engage E-Reader for Delivery of Open Content via Canvas
  • A New Initiative called Unlimited Assignments that takes Renewable Assignments to another level incorporating community engagement and technical innovation that can be openly shared.

They will be available to chat after the session and on campus until 3PM.

Office 365: Integrating with Canvas – Innovate your teaching in Canvas by integrating the Office365 learning tool in your course. This learning tool integration (LTI) allows students and instructors to create, share, and collaborate on O365 files within Canvas. During this one-hour demonstration session, participants will learn how to add the O365 LTI to their course and will explore how to update their content and assignments by adding OneDrive files.  (Dawson 213A computer lab)
