Welcome Back!  January 2021 kicks off with our annual Faculty Development event, and we are also providing training with Zoom in Canvas, Organizing Your Canvas Course, and Communication with Canvas.  Join us to learn from fellow faculty and instructional designers from across the Commonwealth, we look forward to seeing you!

Commonwealth Connections Instructor Day:  On January 12th, join colleagues from the Penn State campuses across the Commonwealth to energize for the upcoming semester.

The event includes 25 sessions featuring over 50 faculty presenters exploring topics related to preserving and promoting your well-being, invigorating your teaching practice, and supporting students in new ways. Hear from your faculty colleagues as they share strategies and tools for success. Be sure to bring your questions and any stories of success you care to share.

Organizing Your Canvas Course: Provide course content to your students in an logical and consistent way by using Modules.  Simplify your course navigation to only the items your students need.  This  session covers creating course modules, adding your instructional content, and simplifying your course links.

Communicate and Discuss with Canvas: Canvas provides multiple tools, including announcements, conversations, and discussions, to use to communicate with your students throughout the semester. This session provides instruction on how to use these tools for effective online discussions in your course.
