With the semester underway, IT Support would like to provide a few helpful reminders regarding classroom usage:
- Please remember to log off the instructor PCs. If you remain logged in, your profile and files are open and available to anyone who might come along after you, which presents a security risk.
- Please turn off the projectors when you are finished with a class. This is not only better for the equipment, but also helps us reduce our energy footprint.
- You should never have to disconnect/connect cables for the classroom computers. A second set of cables is always present for you to connect your own laptop. If you feel there are any issues with the cables, or any are missing, please let IT Support know.
- Anytime you have an issue with a classroom, feel free to call x2551 for IT help. Support is available from 8am to 10pm, Monday – Friday. You can also submit a trouble ticket using the “Contact WS IT Support” page at wsitsupport.psu.edu
